Ezo gelin soup
| Ezo gelin soup
Ingredients:
- 3 cups red lentils
- 2 onions, medium
- 2 table spoons tomato paste
- 2 cups bulgur (boiled and pounded wheat)
- 45 gr (2 table spoons) butter
- 2 tea spoons red pepper
- 2 tea spoons mint
- 10 cups (2 It.) meat stock
- salt
- 1 table spoon chili pepper
- 2 tea spoons thyme

| Preparation:Chop the onions. Mix the tomato paste with some water in a bowl. Melt the butter in a saucepan and cook the onions until they soften. Add the water (meat stock) and the tomato paste and bring the soup to the boil. Wash the lentils and the boiled and pounded wheat seperately, then sieve and add to the boiling soup. Stir the salt in the soup. Cook the soup until the lentils and the boiled and pounded wheat are tender, stirring continousl y. Serve the soup with chili pepper, and thyme, taste the soup and serve.
