Kalkan, Patara and Xanthos
A little distance to the west is Kalkan, a pretty little mountain village, a tiny bay.Its quaint, traditional, whitewashed houses, shutters and balconies overlooking garlanded with flowers, make the brilliant cascade to the streets below it the ultimate in a quiet resort. The ancient Lycian capital of Xanthos, today in the Turkish village Kinik, lies 18 km north of Patara.
