Arriving by car
Car travel gives you the freedom to go where you want when you want, but there are also disadvantages: cost, and sometimes happen if you want to take public transport.
Will you go in the state in Turkey? If you can use an experienced, confident driver, a standard transmission method (“stick shift”), drive on the right side of the road (as in continental Europe and North America), and are willing to adapt to a foreign country driving habits, then you will probably enjoy the freedom of driving in Turkey.
A car is traveling especially useful for a particular region. For the long-distance public transport is generally more economical and more comfortable. In other words, do not plan to fly from Istanbul to Cappadocia to go, or ride the bus you just go rent a car in Cappadocia tour. Do the same if you’re going to Antalya or any of the other places.
If your license is from some exotic place, it will normally be accepted in Turkey. If in doubt, an international driving license, contact your local Car Club. Now read the pages in order to drive safely, documents and equipment, and car rental.
