Who Can Rent a Car in Turkey?

Not everyone is allowed to rent cars in Turkey. Your documents must be in order and you must be a certain minimum age. You will normally be asked to:

1st A valid passport (even if your nationality, a valid visa required)

2nd A valid credit card to pay for the estimated rental charges, plus a security deposit “hold” of maybe $ 1000 U.S..

3rd A valid driver’s license (driving) license. Usually, you must have had your driver’s license for at least a year before renting a cheap car, and perhaps two years to the rent a more expensive model. If your driver’s license is a big country, you do not normally need to have an international driver’s license.

4th A required minimum age. Normally, you need to hire at least 21 years. For more expensive models, you must be at least 27 years old.
