Airport Transfers in Turkey

You have checked and kayak Opodo cheap flights and the other pages listed TTP’s side, you will find a wonderfully cheap flight to Turkey, and you’re ready to go.

… But where? And what the full cost of the journey to your destination?

Remember: If you are in Istanbul Ataturk International Airport, Turkey’s busiest, you can get to fly in downtown metro and tram for less than TL3.

But if you fly to Dalaman on the way to Bodrum, to the airport to your hotel can cost more than you pay for your cheap flight from Europe! Not only that, it can cost more than Mugla Bodrum Airport flies directly.

And if you fly to Dalaman travel to Istanbul, you may come a day after Istanbul by bus, and then start one day back to Dalaman for your return flight and again it can end up costing more than you spent for your “cheap” flight in the first place.

If you’re unlucky you can end up spending more money on this detour, as if you were issued, must fly directly to Istanbul.

Why? In a country like Turkey with good, comfortable, frequent, pervasive bus service, why not comfortable buses run all the airports?

There are some airport bus services through an airport services company named Havas Ground Handling, but they do not always go where or when foreign visitors want them to go.

Even the airport Antalya, one of the busiest in Turkey, has only a few buses, and you end up with a taxi from the airport to your hotel. On a recent trip was the taxi for me TL45 one-way-not much less than the same as a cheap flight from Onur Air from Istanbul to Antalya or AtlasJet!

What to do? Make sure to transfer exactly to the situation and calculate all transfers and airfares-travel before you so that you do not suffer bad surprise.
